Limits and errors

Authenticate every API request with the access key issued by the dashboard. Keep keys server-side and rotate them if exposed.

Handle failures

Check the HTTP status before decoding a successful response. Treat 4xx responses as request or authentication problems and 5xx responses as transient service or provider failures; retry only safe requests with backoff.

Account-specific quotas and current model availability are shown in the dashboard. If a response includes a provider error, preserve the request ID when contacting support.
